FROM THE PRESIDENT – Noble John Pinckney
We are so pleased that Noble Larry Easter has played such a leadership role in raising money for our Club! This year he sold $3059 in Beef Raffle tickets for the Central Oregon Shrine Club fundraiser. And, in the last four years he led the effort in raising over $18,000 from Beef Raffle sales for COSC. Larry has been doing this for over 30 years! COSC is very grateful to Larry for this major source of income for the Club’s activities. This year the winner of the raffle was the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
The Food Caravan is on October 15th. Join us for a fun time, and help in this great event to get food directly to the Shriners Hospital in Portland. We will leave Bend Lodge at 9 am on Saturday the 15th and stop at Mill City for lunch at 11 am. Call Al Kader (503-682-4420) for dinner reservations. If you are staying overnight, contact the La Quinta Inn (503-682-3184) just down the street from Al Kader (remember to ask for the Shrine rate).
Our October meeting will be held on Oct 4th at the Juniper Golf Club. The social hour begins at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30pm. This will be a great meeting as we will be voting on an affiliate member, Frederick Hillyard, as well as introducing our two newest members, Scott Brasher and Trace Harris.
